Modern rubber processing technology has made great progress. However, as a rubber processing industry in the supporting industry, there are always many new problems that need to be solved, and it must be continuously developed. The development of modernization mainly focuses on high performance, functionalization, greening, automation, energy conservation and other aspects.
Protein allergy in latex product
Since the implementation of the standard rubber program in Malaysia in 1965, after the natural rubber has achieved relatively scientific and advanced production, the problem that needs to be solved is the protein allergy problem of natural latex products. It shows up to 2.5% of allergies. Studies have shown that allergies are caused by extractable (soluble) proteins remaining in natural latex products. At present, only a few countries in the world have low-protein latex and products, which meet the quality standards of the US Food and Drug Administration (soluble protein fraction less than 50X10-6).
Rubber elastomer production
In the 1990s, metallocene catalysis technology was used in industry to synthesize elastomers with adjustable molecular weight distribution and regularity. This technique facilitates the polymerization of higher olefins, non-conjugated dienes, styrene, cyclic olefins, and the like. For example, EOC copolymerized with ethylene and & octene, because the mole fraction and distribution of octene are controllable, octene copolymerization destroys the crystalline region of polyethylene and forms a crystalline and non-crystalline material, resulting in mechanical properties and processing properties. A well-balanced series of polymers can be processed by injection, extrusion, blow molding, or by rubber processing.
